Access a clear and customizable career development pathway tailored to your strengths and aspirations. About The Role This intern will report to the Community Impact Team. In this role, you will support the Bank’s efforts to strengthen its philanthropic and community development initiatives. Over the course of 10 weeks, you will lead two core projects: Community Impact Procedures Manual Update: Review and update the Community Impact team’s procedures manual to reflect current processes, simplify workflows, integrate best practices, document grantmaking and sponsorship procedures, and ensure alignment with the Bank’s values and regulatory expectations. The updated manual will become the core reference tool for onboarding, training, audits, and cross department collaboration. Nonprofit Partner Evaluation Matrix: Design and build a structured evaluation tool to help the Community Impact team assess nonprofit partners for grantmaking, sponsorships, program investments, and strategic collaborations. This tool will incorporate impact indicators, organizational health markers, alignment with the Bank’s priorities (CRA & CBA), and considerations specific to Native communities and Indian Country. Your objective will be to update the Community Impact Procedures Manual and Develop a Nonprofit Scoring & Evaluation Tool. As well as strengthen skills in Applied Research, Data Organization, and Strategy Development. Preferred degree and skillset include a degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Human Services, Sociology, Anthropology, Data Science, Analytics, or Psychology. Skillset will consist of the ability to conduct structured research and synthesize findings. Basic understanding of nonprofit operations and/or financial statements. Experience building frameworks, matrices, or structured evaluation tools is a plus. Comfortable working with both quantitative and qualitative data. Strong written and verbal communication ability. Curiosity and willingness to learn about community development, Native communities, and philanthropy. Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple projects. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and cultural sensitivity. Comfort engaging collaboratively with teammates across the bank. About You You’re an undergraduate student aiming to graduate in spring 2026/2027 or a recent graduate within the last year. Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), fully onsite, for 10 weeks starting in June. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal skills. The pay rate for this role is $22.00 per hour. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
