Job Description This position functions as a Communications Specialist supporting communications efforts across all DTMB IT functions. The position has a particular focus on creating clear messages about IT initiatives, changes, training, and resources and works with subject matter experts to plan, coordinate, and implement communcaitons projects and activities with internal and external stakeoholders. This position advises and assist IT business units with the development of communications strategies, ensuring alignment with DTMB's overall communications strategy. For Additional Information, Please See The Links Below Position Description The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week. Required Education And Experience Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, broadcasting, telecommunications, advertising, or communication arts. Experience Four years of professional experience in the communications field equivalent to a Communications Representative, including two years equivalent to a Communications Representative P11 or one year equivalent to a Communications Representative 12.
