Own data-driven communications to expand reach, engagement and impact for an international affairs journal, turning editorial goals into measurable audience outcomes.

  • Growth & Engagement: Lead multi-channel campaigns to boost readership and submissions across channels.
  • Content & Assets: Produce newsletters, social content, and promotional materials that resonate with academic and policy audiences.
  • Discoverability & Analytics: Align SEO and AI-driven search efforts with data-driven optimization to improve discoverability.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a data-driven communications strategy aligned with the journal’s editorial and development goals
  • Lead multi-channel campaigns to promote journal content and increase readership, submissions and engagement
  • Produce and oversee high-quality communications materials (including newsletters, social media and promotional assets)
  • Ensure communications activity aligns with evolving digital discoverability trends, including SEO and AI-driven search

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and delivering multi-channel, data-driven communications strategies
  • A strong interest in international affairs, foreign policy and global issues
  • Understanding of academic and policy audiences, and how to engage them effectively
  • Strong understanding of digital communications platforms and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Ability to use data to generate actionable insights and improve performance
