Job Description: The role: The Buyer Planner will support the company’s international growth and product evolution. This is a temporary position. What you’ll do: Primary Responsibilities: Procures materials components and equipment, plans and schedules to support production on critical material needs using such techniques as VMI, reschedules, and expedite orders as needed. Responsible for procurement and material planning activities. This includes, but is not limited to opening, maintaining, and closing of related PO’s based on business demand and forecast; identification and price negotiation of required materials; procurement; on time delivery of materials. Manages and negotiates with suppliers. Utilizes business analysis tools/methodologies to drive excellence in supplier performance and business continuity plans. Gathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedules, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure the best quality and value. Maintains drop shipments orders, schedules, and monitors the closing of purchase orders. Works with receiving, finance, and suppliers to reconcile discrepancies in receiving and invoicing. Validates and updates purchase orders and requisitions within the Hydrafacial ERP system. Collaborates with cross functional teams through a disciplined sourcing process to support supply management and operation objectives. Coordinates with other departments (Engineering, Sales Operations, Production, etc.) as required to maintain material pipeline and schedules. Performs other duties as assigned. What you need to know: Experience/Skills/Education: Required: 5+ years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Logistics in a manufacturing setting. BS in related field or 8 years of direct experience. Experience in MRP/ ERP systems Must be goal-focused and committed to completing task. Extremely flexible and enjoy a high-growth and high-demand environment. Excellent Excel capabilities. Superb relationship management skills with both external and internal stakeholders. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Detail-oriented, highly motivated and diligent. Desired: Analytical experience and data focused. Netsuite experience.
