TLM Nexus is recruiting for the role of Business Analyst. An experienced Business Analyst is needed to support analysis, requirements and user workshops for software used in the defence sector. The role includes regular UK travel, producing supporting documentation and working with clients and technical teams.

What you’ll do

• Carry out analysis activity at customer locations in the UK and hold face-to-face discussions and group workshops.
• Prepare for analysis by reviewing the domain, evaluating stakeholders and planning suitable outputs.
• Review analysis and produce business level requirements with supporting documentation for customers and technical teams.
• Present content internally and externally at review points such as BRR, SRR, PDR or CDR.
• Support implementation by removing impediments, managing issues, answering questions and helping with demonstrations.
• Provide stakeholder updates, escalate issues when needed and manage risks, milestones, resources and dependencies.
  

What they’re looking for

• Experience of documenting with a UML case tool such as Enterprise Architect.
• Experience of SysML, TOGAF or alternative notation.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience delivering software using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience creating UML and BPMN 2.0 models and diagrams, including conceptual domain models, activity diagrams and use case diagrams.
• Experience of developing requirements, acceptance tests and supporting artefacts such as wireframes and data dictionaries.
• A proactive approach to stakeholder management with users, subject matter experts, owners and sponsors.
• The ability to achieve Security Clearance status.
  

Additional role information

• User Centred Design practice is required.
• Experience of wireframes and UX/UI prototyping methodologies is required.
• A BSc in Computing, Computer Science, Information Systems/Management or a similar subject is required.
• Experience of project management on small or medium projects is required.
