Job Summary

Own brand plans and portfolio opportunities for Shreddies and Shredded Wheat, coordinating cross-functional input from local and regional teams to embed digital, social and eCommerce in campaigns.

  • Brand Ownership: Lead plan development, initiative ownership, and potential small-brand leadership with strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Insights & Optimization: Turn data into opportunities and adjust tactics based on learnings across channels.
  • Measurement & Budget: Own spend, track effectiveness, and prune waste while coordinating packaging and agency work.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Successful development and execution of brand plans, working with the Marketing Manager across our local brands, Shreddies & Shredded Wheat, including leadership of specific initiatives to achieve objectives. In addition, there is also the potential to lead on a smaller brand.
  • Using insights and data to uncover key areas of opportunity for your portfolio
  • Ensuring digital, social and eCommerce are embedded in brand/communication plans
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders both Locally and Regionally, to manage all subjects related to the brand. Including Brand Teams, Consumer Insights, R&D, Commercial, CDT (Commercial Development Team), Finance, Supply/Demand Planning.
  • Working with external agencies where required, on elements such as media planning, creative, consumer promotions and PR.
  • Playing an active role in the UK brand marketing team to drive synergies across the teams
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing programmes adjusting plans in line with learnings.
  • Budget ownership and management ensuring most effective use of spend and attention to eliminating waste.
  • Managing packaging artwork changes and communication.
  • Closely monitoring industry and competitor activity, to ensure plans are maintained and adapted in a constantly changing, competitive FMCG environment.

Requirements

  • Marketing experience under your belt in a Brand Manager or Assistant Brand Manager role.
  • Be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic environment.
  • Ambassador for the brands with strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Be highly organised, detailed, conscientious and a team player.
  • Pro-activity and enthusiasm are essential elements for this role.

Nice to have

  • Have the ability to influence at senior levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills, targeting a wide audience from customers to internal stakeholders.
  • Be able to run sizable, complex projects and work streams from concept to delivery.
  • Have prior knowledge of running multi-pronged communications programmes.
  • Be able to demonstrate your experience of leading new product launches.
  • Experience / track record in using data to evaluate the performance of your brand.
