This position will be primarily telework with occasional, ad-hoc travel to California, MD or the Pentagon Arlington, VA , or Pax River Naval Base depending on customer requirements. We offer competitive salaries and benefits with outstanding growth potential The Acquisition AI Integration SME role focuses on integrating acquisition, contracts specialist, and contract data and workflows with advanced AI capabilities aligned to the latest NAWCAD War Room and latest NAWCAD WOLF acquisition analytics development priorities. Additionally, this role includes integrating workflows and data from the NAVAIR AMS and PMT platforms into the Jupiter platform and leveraging the latest data and AI capabilities aligned to the NAWCAD and NAWCAD WOLF War Rooms. The SME will support enterprise-level modernization efforts across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS networks, aligned to NAWCAD Lead Architect and NAWCAD WOLF Senior Leadership. This role will also assist with leading, managing, and generating new concepts aligned to delivering strategic development, data and AI integration efforts aligned to the latest KAIROS Enterprise Platforms and Data (EPAD) technology roadmap and DoD customer base. These efforts include product management, customer requirement identification, backlog management, and management of all product teams aligned to the KAIROS EPAD Directorate. These EPAD products will include highly technical software, data, and AI engineering efforts that span Defense and Commercial markets. Primary Duties Acquisition AI Integration and Engineering Leadership Support ongoing data, AI, and platform integration efforts with a specific focus on acquisition and contracting workflows for ACAT I and II programs into the latest NAWCAD War Room application and AI suites Deliver AI-driven acquisition solutions that automate and optimize contract data processes, ensuring compliance with DoD and DON procurement standard Provide SME feedback for integrating NAVAIR systems such as Program Management Tool (PMT) and Acquisition Management System (AMS) Lead numerous product management related meetings and use latest Agile management best practices and enterprise tools Technology Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary hardware, software, AI, and data engineering teams focused on delivering capabilities and features described on the latest KAIROS EPAD technology roadmap. Recommend and implement cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to improve KAIROS data automation processes and platform capabilities. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure successful design and implementation of enterprise platform and data-automation solutions across various applications. Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure material availability, cost efficiency, and process sustainability. Lead training programs and knowledge sharing initiatives to build internal expertise. Quality and Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and cybersecurity regulations. Implement rigorous quality assurance and control protocols to ensure the production of reliable and high-quality data, AI, and platform engineering products. Project Management: Lead KAIROS EPAD development projects from concept through execution, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting. Coordinate with vendors and external partners to source materials, machines, and tools necessary for platform development. Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to both technical specifications and budgetary constraints. Skills And Qualifications Expert level experience in NAVAIR acquisition and contract analytics systems Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading technical discussions and driving alignment across teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines Detail oriented Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues Ability to adapt to evolving technology Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, data engineering, data analytics, data science, artificial intelligence, operations research, software engineering, and/or other technical/engineering/mathematical degree fields Knowledge of cybersecurity and data management for DoD and Commercial systems. 3-5+ years of DoD experience supporting large-scale acquisition efforts for ACAT I or ACAT II programs Prior experience as a Contracts Specialist supporting ACAT I and II programs. Proven expertise in DoD financial accounting systems and acquisition lifecycle management. Hands-on experience with NAVAIR AMS and PMT systems. Clearance This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance. Compensation While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000.00 to $210,000.00. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
