2026-27 Game Presentation + Event Production Internship (September-April) Position Summary The Iowa Heartlanders Game Operations Department is seeking enthusiastic interns interested in gaining hands-on experience with a professional hockey organization in Coralville, IA. This is an unpaid internship, with paid opportunities available on game days. Interns will gain behind-the-scenes experience in event production, game presentation, and fan engagement. This role provides exposure to the planning and execution of live sporting events and the coordination required to deliver a high-energy fan experience. Interns will contribute across multiple areas of event production, including in-game promotions, contests, fan interaction, and talent coordination. We welcome applicants from a variety of academic backgrounds and experience levels who are excited to learn and contribute. Responsibilities Execute in-game promotions and contests Assist with identifying and preparing participants for in-game activities Coordinate on-camera segments with the emcee, anthem performers, guest groups, and other talent Support fans to enhance their overall game-day experience Assist with post-game breakdown and venue reset Support event planning projects and promotional initiatives Assist with the creation of timelines, scripts, and promotional rundowns Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Must be available to work all home games Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong communication skills with a service-focused approach when engaging with staff, vendors, and fans Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods during events Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Creative mindset and willingness to contribute ideas Positive attitude and eagerness to learn The Iowa Heartlanders are an equal opportunity employer.
