Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead content development of seasonal Presales, Sales Conference, and Launch materials for upcoming title and franchise releases.
- Develop core sales and marketing materials for major publishing franchises, including Harry Potter, Dog Man, The Hunger Games, and other bestselling brands.
- Support the Sales team by creating compelling partner presentations for key retail accounts.
- Create, design, and refine executive presentations, one-sheets, and communication materials for Trade Publishing leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and execute internal communications, including leadership updates, organizational announcements, and change management communications.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Publicity, Editorial, Sales, and Corporate Communications to create integrated communications and presentation materials that support publishing initiatives, major title launches, industry events, and business priorities.
- Develop and manage a centralized communications and document-sharing platform, ensuring teams have access to current messaging, presentations, templates, and business resources.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity, messaging, and brand voice across all Trade Publishing communications and presentations.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of experience in business communications, marketing communications, or a related field, preferably within the trade publishing industry.
- Exceptional writer and storyteller with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences and business objectives.
- Strong visual design aesthetic with expertise in developing polished, engaging presentations and communication materials that bring ideas to life.
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts and leadership feedback into concise, visually compelling narratives.
- Collaborative partner who builds strong relationships and works effectively across Marketing, Editorial, Sales, Publicity, Corporate Communications, and executive leadership.
- Strategic, creative thinker with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, matrixed organization and adapting quickly to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint, with strong working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce and Spekit are a plus.
