Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, customer issues, regulatory activity, technology innovation, and other external factors that may create communications opportunities or risks.
  • Translate complex developments into actionable insights, recommendations, executive briefings, and communications strategies.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, trackers, and intelligence products that inform communications planning and decision-making.
  • Identify emerging themes, narratives, and opportunities before they become widely recognized.
  • Strategic Narrative Development
  • Develop messaging frameworks and narrative strategies that reinforce T-Mobile’s leadership, differentiation, innovation, and customer-first approach.
  • Identify opportunities to shape industry conversations and reframe narratives in ways that highlight T-Mobile’s strengths and perspective.
  • Develop counter-narrative strategies that address misinformation, correct the record, and ensure accurate information reaches key audiences.
  • Partner across the organization to ensure communications efforts are aligned, consistent, and impactful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 7-10 years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, public affairs, marketing communications, or a related field.
  • Experience building, developing and leading a communications team and agency partners required.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic communications programs in a fast-paced corporate environment, agency, newsroom, or public affairs organization.
  • Deep understanding of the media and influencer landscape, including reporter beats, coverage preferences, and what drives story interest across national, business, trade, and digital outlets.
  • Experience with third-party advocacy strategy, engagement, and direct and indirect influence programs that advance a communications objective through credible external voices.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience translating complex business, technology, regulatory, or industry topics into compelling communications strategies.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and a track record of advising and influencing senior leaders, including during high-pressure situations requiring rapid judgment and clear, confident counsel.
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across large organizations.
