Job Description
Responsibilities
- Vision & Social Transformation: Define and articulate a bold, future-forward vision for NAOU social and community that positions social as a strategic growth capability, not only a communications channel. Lead the transformation of social into a cultural engine for brand relevance, consumer participation, advocacy and business growth.
- Creator-Led Way of Working: Build the strategic framework, operating model and governance for creator-led marketing across NAOU. Define how creators are used across the funnel, when brands should work with creators versus influencers, how creator briefs are developed, how creator content is activated across paid, owned and earned and commerce environments, and how learnings are scaled across brands.
- Creator Strategy, Governance & Measurement: Establish clear standards for creator selection, role definition, briefing, content rights, approvals, brand safety, disclosure, measurement and optimization. Partner with Brand, Creative, Media, Legal, Procurement and agency teams to create a consistent, accountable and scalable creator ecosystem.
- Community-Centric Brand Building: Build and nurture vibrant brand communities by embedding human insights, cultural foresight, social listening and audience-first planning into social strategy. Ensure social content and community engagement reflect authentic storytelling, two-way participation and genuine consumer connection.
- Content Excellence & Platform Fluency: Champion fit-for-platform creative that reflects how people actually discover, engage, share and participate in culture across each social environment. Drive stronger creative standards for short-form video, creator content, community response, real-time engagement and social-first storytelling.
- Social Safety & Brand Protection: Develop and operationalize best-in-class social safety protocols, escalation routines, listening signals and response standards. Protect our brands through proactive issue management, rapid response and clear decision-making across platforms, agencies and stakeholders.
- Operating Model & Change Management: Lead implementation of the social transformation model across NAOU, including roles, workflows, agency interfaces, governance processes and capability-building. Drive adoption of new creator-led and community-led ways of working while improving speed, quality and accountability of social execution.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Partner closely with Brand, Creative, Media, Design, Commerce, Legal, Procurement, Consumer Insights, Data and IMX teams to integrate social and creator strategies into broader brand campaigns, retail moments, experiential activations and always-on engagement models.
- Measurement, Learning & Business Impact: Establish KPIs and learning agendas that connect social and creator activity to community health, advocacy, content performance, cultural relevance, media efficiency, consumer engagement and business outcomes. Use analytics, social intelligence and experimentation to optimize strategy and communicate impact to senior stakeholders.
- Team & Talent Leadership: Build, lead and develop a high-performing team across social strategy, community management, creator strategy, analytics and content excellence. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, social fluency, accountability and continuous learning.
