Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Narrative Development
  • - Support the evolution and operationalization of company-wide narrative architecture, ensuring consistency across content, speakerships, and campaigns.
  • - Monitor key industry dynamics and trends and develop a deep understanding of Qualcomm solutions and business priorities, to drive impactful storytelling and content development.
  • - Translate technical concepts (AI, semiconductors, edge computing, etc.) into clear, audience-ready narratives that connect innovation to real-world impact.
  • - Develop messaging that reflects a strong understanding of system architecture, product capabilities, and ecosystem dynamics.
  • - Contribute to the evolution of Qualcomm’s technical narrative framework, ensuring consistency across highly complex subject areas.
  • Technology-Driven Content Creation
  • - Create executive-level materials (keynotes, messaging frameworks, presentations) grounded in technical accuracy and strategic relevance.
  • - Partner with product, engineering, and technical marketing teams to ensure storytelling reflects true differentiation at the technology level.
  • - Build narratives that move beyond features to explain why the technology matters—performance, scale, efficiency, and user impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
  • OR Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 6+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
  • OR High school Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
  • *Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic communications, corporate communications, or related marketing roles.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complexity.
  • Strong understanding of how communications support business strategy in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, work cross‑functionally, and influence without authority.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless and computing industries, B2B, or innovation‑driven environments.
  • Experience supporting executive communications or high‑profile external communications.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled content workflows, measurement frameworks, or modern content operations.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-moving business priorities.
  • Occasional travel to events, including some international travel.
