Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Establish yourself as a key strategic partner and consumer behavior thought leader, earning a seat at the table to influence decision-making for the New Platforms & Acquisitions team.
  • Synthesize insights from point-of-sale data, syndicated behavioral research, social listening, and other sources to identify opportunities for growth in adjacent categories and emerging spaces.
  • Deeply assess prioritized opportunity areas to define innovation criteria, including eating attributes, flavors, preparation methods, claims, and price points that inform product development briefs.
  • Develop insights that support new brand creation, positioning, and package design by leveraging learnings from adjacent categories, foodservice, and at-home consumption behaviors.
  • Build a strong understanding of consumer behavior across emerging and incremental channels, including Club, Value, Specialty, and E-commerce, to inform channel strategies and go-to-market plans.
  • Present insights, recommendations, and growth opportunities to senior leaders to secure alignment on priorities, investments, and project direction.
  • Support sales materials, annual operating plans, and strategic business planning efforts as a consumer insights expert and business partner.
  • Partner across functions to pilot technology and AI-enabled approaches that improve the breadth, depth, and speed of insights generation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience producing high-quality insights and analytics within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry or a related field.
  • Experience translating insights and analytics into business recommendations that influence decisions and outcomes.
  • Experience communicating complex concepts and insights in clear, practical terms to audiences at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization across Brand, Marketing, Commercial, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Circana, Nielsen, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience managing relationships with external partners to deliver aligned and impactful results.
  • Curiosity and passion for understanding consumer behavior and applying evidence-based approaches to business challenges.
