Hilltown Commons

Hilltown Commons is a historic nonprofit retreat and arts campus in the Upper Hudson Valley, hosting world-class institutions, leaders, and creatives to tend the commons. Once the site of 1920s peace talks, today we host convenings, our flagship gatherings that bring together people who rarely share a room to sit with hard questions and cross-pollinate ideas. We also welcome creatives, teams, and purpose-driven organizations for private retreats and off-sites shaped by the land and its legacy. We believe a more curious society is a more informed and connected one. We are a nonprofit arts and education campus in Rensselaerville, New York, where inquiry is put into practice through workshops, retreats, and artist residencies. Here, the people are the curriculum.Every living room that opens after ours. That's the movement. Our Common Ground90 acres in the Upper Hudson Valley. Each space is a different chapter of the same century-long story, preserved and re-tended for the questions of our time.
