Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ensemble’s social media accounts, ensuring content is regularly updated.
  • Create and schedule posts promoting rehearsals, concerts, auditions, fundraising events and other activities.
  • Analyse social media performance and recommend improvements to increase audience engagement.
  • Plan and deliver successful and exciting marketing campaigns for concerts and events, promoting ticket sales and increase public awareness of the ensemble.
  • Develop promotional timelines for upcoming concerts and events, coordinating publicity in the weeks leading up to performances.
  • Encourage audience engagement before, during and after performances.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Lead in charge of Creative Design to provide creative assets for marketing campaigns, producing materials that support concert promotion, fundraising and membership recruitment.

Requirements

  • The Marketing Lead in charge of Social Media & Publicity will have excellent written communication skills and a strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
  • They should be organised, creative and able to produce engaging content for a wide range of audiences.
  • The role requires someone who can work independently, manage multiple deadlines and always represent the ensemble professionally.

Preferred

  • It would be desirable for the candidate to have previous experience in marketing, communications or public relations, particularly within a charity, voluntary organisation or performing arts environment.
  • An enthusiasm for classical music, especially early music, would also be considered an advantage, however this is not a requirement for the role.
  • If someone did not have the above skills but possessed the drive and motivation to learn, appropriate induction and any necessary training will be provided.
