Job Summary

Own social and community rhythms for an indie game studio with tight asset constraints, balancing daily posts, Discord moderation, and lightweight email outreach for players.

  • Social and Community Cadence: Manage multi-platform publishing, quick edits of assets, and weekly engagement reporting.
  • Community Enablement: Moderate Discord, welcome newcomers, drive discussions, and gather player feedback for the dev team.
  • Content & Email Support: Prepare assets for announcements, maintain brand voice, and draft timely emails around updates and events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Schedule and publish content across X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms; Edit short-form posts using existing assets; Assist in creating simple image and video content for daily posts; Monitor comments and direct messages and report weekly engagement.
  • Community Management: Moderate and maintain the Discord community; Welcome new members and encourage discussions; Answer common player questions and organize community events, giveaways, and announcements; Collect player feedback for the development team.
  • Content Support: Prepare marketing assets for announcements and campaigns; Maintain brand voice consistency; Help with day-to-day marketing and community tasks.
  • Email Marketing: Draft 1–2 marketing emails per week based on game updates and events.

Requirements

  • Strong written English communication skills.
  • Passion for video games and gaming communities.
  • Familiar with X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Discord.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage recurring tasks independently.
  • Basic experience with image or video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar.
  • Comfortable working remotely and communicating with an international team.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and follow content calendars.
  • Willingness to learn studio-specific processes and brand voice.
  • Attention to detail in asset prep and community responses.

Preferred

  • Previous experience managing social media accounts or Discord communities.
  • Experience creating short-form video content.
  • Familiarity with indie games, roguelikes, monster-taming games, or RPGs.
  • Experience using social media scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Steam, Kickstarter, or game marketing is a plus.
  • Comfort with remote collaboration and time-zone coordination.
