Job Summary

Own and lead SEO strategy across client portfolios, guiding performance reviews and shaping technical, content, on-page and digital PR work while helping clients navigate AI search and evolving search trends.

  • Own portfolio strategy and client-facing briefings
  • Drive cross-channel SEO and AI-ready content

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain SEO strategies for your portfolio, grounded in each client's business model, commercial objectives and competitive landscape.
  • Plan across a calendar rather than month to month: how long to work a theme of keywords before judging it, when to rotate onto the next set, and how to time work around a client's seasonal peaks.
  • Monitor rankings, visibility, traffic, leads and conversions, and know how often each of those is worth looking.
  • Recognise when a strategy needs to change rather than continuing with existing.
  • Decide the right mix of technical SEO, content, on-page, and digital PR.
  • Apply E-E-A-T thinking to content and site strategy, particularly for clients where trust signals carry the most weight.
  • Help clients navigate AI search: what AI Overviews and LLM assistants mean for visibility, and how to position content to be cited rather than bypassed.
  • Help shape how OMS approaches AI search and GEO.
  • Act as the strategic point of contact for your portfolio and lead regular strategy and performance meetings.
  • Explain SEO clearly and commercially, set realistic expectations, and make sure clients understand what we're doing and why.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in SEO, ideally agency-side.
  • Ownership of SEO campaigns, and direct client contact.
  • Solid grounding in keyword research, on-page SEO, content strategy, technical SEO fundamentals and digital PR or link building.
  • Confident in Google Search Console and GA4, and in a major SEO platform such as SEMrush or Ahrefs.
  • Comfortable running and interpreting a crawl in Screaming Frog or similar.
  • A track record of building an SEO strategy, measuring it honestly, and changing it when the results say it isn't working.
  • You don't need to be an advanced technical SEO specialist or a developer.

Benefits

  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Free parking
  • Private medical insurance
  • 30 days paid holiday including bank holidays.
  • Christmas To New Year Office Shutdown
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Direct access to specialists across SEO, PPC, development, digital PR and strategy.
  • Real influence over how OMS develops its search offering.
  • Exposure to clients across a wide range of sectors.
