Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies across multiple client accounts or internal brands
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and market opportunity assessments
  • Set measurable KPIs, track performance, and produce clear reporting against targets
  • Perform regular technical audits covering site speed, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup
  • Work with developers and web teams to implement technical recommendations
  • Monitor and resolve issues using tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs
  • Brief and oversee the production of SEO-optimised content, including service pages, blog articles, and landing pages
  • Conduct on-page optimisation, including title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, and internal linking
  • Identify content gaps and topical authority opportunities to grow organic visibility
  • Develop and manage white-hat link acquisition campaigns, including digital PR, outreach, and partnerships

Requirements

  • 3+ years of SEO experience in an agency or in-house environment
  • Proven track record of delivering organic growth across competitive industries
  • Strong technical SEO knowledge, including site architecture, crawl management, and page speed optimisation
  • Proficiency with SEO tools including Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs or SEMrush, and Screaming Frog
  • Experience with WordPress and content management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to translate data into clear narratives
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Google algorithm updates and SEO best practices
  • Experience with local SEO and multi-location campaigns
  • Experience in Website Design with Knowledge of other systems to implement Technical SEO Techniques.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with paid search (PPC) and how it integrates with organic strategy
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript as it relates to SEO
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
  • CIM qualification or equivalent digital marketing certification
  • Familiarity with AI-powered SEO and content tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Surfer SEO, and an understanding of how to use them to improve efficiency without compromising quality
  • Awareness of how AI-generated content impacts search, including Google's evolving stance on AI content and E-E-A-T signals
  • Ability to use AI tools to assist with keyword clustering, content briefing, and data analysis whilst applying human judgement to the output
