  • Own end-to-end campaign planning and cross-functional coordination
  • Lead ASO and analytics-driven optimization
  • Drive experimentation and performance improvements across paid and store channels

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive digital app subscription growth, coordinating activity across multiple channels (e.g. paid social, PPC, ASO, CRM) to ensure campaigns launch on time and in sync.
  • Act as the central point of coordination across Product, Tech, Brand, Design, and CRM teams for app marketing - briefing specialists, aligning timelines, and keeping campaigns consistent with our broader digital subscription strategy.
  • Brief and collaborate with the design team to produce multi-channel campaign assets to promote the Good Food and Radio Times apps, maintaining brand consistency and tone of voice.
  • Contribute to App Store Optimisation (ASO) as part of the broader channel mix, working with specialist ASO support if needed. This includes managing our keyword strategy, metadata testing, in-app event strategy, feature nomination, creative optimisation (icons, screenshots, video assets) and uncovering new market opportunities (e.g. the US and overseas).
  • Use internal reporting tools and in-app analytics to track and monitor campaign performance across acquisition and lifecycle journeys, turning data into clear recommendations and actionable insights.
  • Run structured experimentation across paid acquisition and app store channels to continually improve conversion and visibility.
  • Support subscriber LTV and CAC goals, working with the wider team to optimise spend and offer strategy across Apple App Store, Google Play and our own web checkout.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in planning and delivering multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, ideally within a consumer subscription or digital media business.
  • Good understanding of conversion and the customer funnel – able to identify and investigate uplifts or drop offs, to adapt and shape campaigns and activity accordingly.
  • Experience working with analytics tools (such as Appsflyer or another MMP) to track and interpret campaign performance, with hands-on attribution/deep-linking expertise beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills – able to translate data from multiple channels into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • You might not be an app marketing expert yet, but you’re keen to become one. Genuine curiosity about emerging channels, a test-and-learn mindset and the drive to upskill and become the go-to person in this space.
  • Comfortable coordinating multiple workstreams and collaborating with specialist teams (design, CRM, paid media, product) to deliver campaigns on time and to a high standard.
  • You’ll bring ideas to life and are comfortable experimenting, iterating, learning fast and happy to get stuck in in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with paid acquisition across Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns, and Meta.
  • Some app marketing experience – e.g. Exposure to App Store Connect/Google Play Console, ASO fundamentals, or working alongside ASO specialists/agencies, with deep ASO experience a plus.
  • Highly proactive and organised, with the ability to forward-plan campaign schedules well in advance, ensuring we’re setup to capitalise on key seasonal moments.

Preferred

  • Experience in user acquisition for consumer mobile apps would be desirable.

Benefits

  • A relaxed working environment with regular socials including a summer festival
  • Supportive well-being initiatives and benefits, talks & workshops, and Mental Health First aiders & Champions
  • 25 days holiday plus a day for your birthday. Our offices will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s which are in addition to your annual entitlement
  • Tailored training and development through both our inhouse learning platform and LinkedIn Learning
  • A progressive and transparent culture focused on your development
  • Flexible / hybrid working plus early finish Fridays
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Enhanced Family Policies including paternity, adoption and surrogacy leave. We also provide a pregnancy loss, fertility, and carers policy
  • Competitive pension plans and Life Assurance
  • A newly renovated modern office with lots of collaborative spaces
