  • Owns editorial programmes and builds multi-brand content plans
  • Leads merchant campaigns and content delivery with clear success metrics
  • Partners with Growth, GTM and CRM to align strategy and measurement

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Merchant editorial programmes. Build and manage a focused content plan across both brands, including the merchant blog, practical business guidance and thought leadership. Use merchant research, frontline feedback and performance data to decide what deserves investment.
  • Merchant stories and proof. Develop a repeatable case-study programme, from identifying merchants and conducting interviews to securing evidence, approvals and reusable assets.
  • Merchant campaigns. Lead the content strategy and delivery for agreed merchant initiatives, including operational improvements and relevant seasonal occasions. Establish the audience, desired action, content approach, responsibilities and measures before production begins.
  • Content creation and quality. Write and edit compelling content across articles, reports, case studies, email and campaign assets. Brief designers, freelancers and other contributors where needed.
  • Delivery across brands and markets. Coordinate stakeholders, approvals and localisation, adapting content to the needs of each brand and market.
  • Performance and improvement. Set baselines and targets with the relevant teams, monitor results and use them to improve, expand or stop content activity.
  • How you will work. You will partner with Growth on website and acquisition content, with GTM on priority launches and with CRM on merchant communications. Those teams own their respective strategies and channel execution; you will own the agreed content programme and its contribution.
  • Within Content, you will collaborate with the owners of merchant education, Ads & Promos, Commerce Platform and social. The Team Lead will continue to lead priority event content during the transition; you may develop stories or campaigns from those events where they support your portfolio.
  • What success looks like. You will be accountable for three areas, with targets agreed once baselines and tracking are established:
  • Merchant action: the proportion of merchants who take the intended next step after engaging with your content, where tracking allows.

Requirements

  • A track record of independently building and improving B2B content programmes, with examples of measurable results.
  • Excellent writing, editing and interviewing skills, supported by a portfolio of substantive work such as case studies, editorial programmes, reports or campaigns.
  • Experience leading campaigns across functions, including setting priorities, resolving competing requests and coordinating delivery.
  • Confidence using analytics and research to make decisions, define success and explain the limits of attribution.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to turn complex product or operational information into useful merchant content.
  • Experience adapting content across markets, working with specialists and managing external contributors.
  • Experience in marketplaces, merchant services, hospitality, retail or B2B technology would be valuable.

Preferred

  • Experience in marketplaces, merchant services, hospitality, retail or B2B technology would be valuable.
