Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Initiative Lead to plan, schedule and deliver CAI workstreams, including leading relevant AGM strategies
  • Embedding ShareAction's Responsible Investment Standards into CAI's campaign asks, investor materials and corporate engagement
  • Managing external relationships with companies, partners and funders, and supporting the development of funding bids
  • Mobilising investors through briefings, statements, letters and escalation tactics, and strengthening our investor coalition
  • Leading the development of research and campaign content, from investor briefings to reports and case studies, and presenting findings to a range of audiences
  • Coordinating across internal teams to keep CAI's activities joined up and delivered against strategy
  • Supporting budget management for CAI workstreams
  • Monitoring company practices and policies on air quality, and supporting funder reporting

Requirements

  • A clear strategic thinker, able to critically assess options, make sound decisions, and prioritise effectively
  • Knowledge of air pollution, sustainability, or related commercial determinants of health, and how companies contribute to and can solve these challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present clearly to senior stakeholders and the public
  • The ability to influence diverse stakeholders using persuasive arguments, tailored communication, and negotiating skills
  • Experience developing high-quality written outputs and distilling complex scientific information into succinct briefings
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines
  • Experience leading external relationships and representing an organisation externally
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct critical assessments of company approaches
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to join dots across teams and support others to learn
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

Preferred

  • Understanding of the investment system and how investors can influence companies
  • Experience developing fundraising bids for trusts and foundations
  • Detailed knowledge of air pollution and its links to climate change
