Job Summary

Own and coordinate university marketing strategy across brands and campaigns, unifying content, stakeholder alignment, and brand governance to back the Road to 2035 priorities and student recruitment journeys.

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: drive multi-project delivery and ensure outcomes align to strategic priorities.
  • Brand Governance and champions: manage brand, engage Brand Champions network, ensure consistent messaging.
  • Cross-Unit Collaboration: build relationships with Marketing and External Relations to avoid duplication and support university goals.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver impactful strategic and tactical activity to support the Marketing strategy.
  • Balance multiple marketing projects at pace, adapting to change while maintaining service excellence and a focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Manage the production of a rolling programme of multimedia content that supports key moments in the student recruitment journey and articulates the University's beacon areas from the Road to 2035 strategy.
  • Build positive and proactive relationships with University colleagues, aligning marketing activity to support University strategic priorities and providing innovative marketing solutions.
  • Lead on the delivery of strategic marketing leadership and operational support services to the Professional Services directorate.
  • Be responsible for management of the University brand, leading the engagement and development of the Brand Champions network.
  • Liaise with colleagues across Marketing and External Relations to ensure a joined-up approach, avoiding duplication of resources and maintaining consistent messaging.

Requirements

  • An outward looking, forward-thinking senior marketing professional with an extensive career background in marketing, brand and content production.
  • Skilled at project management, with a data-led approach and the ability to turn insight into action.
  • Experience incorporating best practice and opportunities for innovation into strategic plans.
  • An excellent stakeholder manager, able to influence, build trust and drive collaboration.
  • A creative and solutions focused thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience motivating others to achieve a shared goal.
