Job Summary

Own a well rounded regional marketing support role focused on social, email, content, and event-driven campaigns with a strong emphasis on local stakeholder coordination and CRM hygiene.

  • Social and content ownership: create campaigns and manage platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube within a defined communications plan.
  • Content and asset development: support email marketing, newsletters, blogs and case studies, plus presentations and reports for print and digital needs.
  • Web, SEO and events support: assist with WLEP websites, SEO activities, event prep, attendance tracking and CRM updates for local initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create social media marketing campaigns and content using platforms including but not confined to Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube, and other social media included in WLEP’s Communications Plan.
  • Assist with and develop email marketing campaigns, newsletters, press releases and blog/ vlog posts promoting Worcestershire Growth Hub, WorkWell and Skills projects.
  • Assist with maintaining WLEP websites, including but not confined to Worcestershire Growth Hub, WorkWell and Skills projects and all related Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) activities.
  • Support the WGH team with the creation of case studies.
  • Assist with creating presentations, reports and documents required for a variety of print and digital resources.
  • Promote and represent Worcestershire LEP and its services at various local events and industry events.
  • To monitor and track the digital performance of all marketing and communications activity across the various WLEP service areas.
  • Organise, update and develop local contact databases and CRM
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the wider WLEP team, WGH clients, Local Authorities and others over events and marketing campaigns
  • Support events delivery preparation and attend – including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of delegate attendance for all events

Requirements

  • Experience of marketing and communication delivery (Essential)
  • Drive, initiative, motivation and professional credibility and enthusiasm
  • Ability to manage a range of different tasks with developed time management skills and experience of working to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate confidently (verbally and in writing) with external and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Essential)
  • Ability to create engaging social media content using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other Adobe suite software (Essential)
  • Previous experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Zoho Campaigns
  • Location: Malvern (implicit from description)

Preferred

  • Ability to use a camera to take photos and video during events, to support social media delivery (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with analytics and social media performance monitoring (Desirable)
