Job Summary

Own the local comms narrative and stakeholder positioning for Citizens Advice Southampton, turning access to advice into local visibility and shaping conversations on poverty and social justice.

  • Voice and messaging: promote the charity’s work, services and impact to local communities and funders.
  • Channel orchestration: support and implement internal and external comms strategies across media, social and events.
  • Content & relationships: draft content, manage media relations, social channels, and events to drive awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the charity's work, services and impact to local people and stakeholders.
  • Support and implement internal and external communication strategies to raise awareness and influence local conversations about poverty and social justice.
  • Draft and edit content, coordinate media relations, update social media accounts, and help organise and attend events.

Requirements

  • You will ideally bring charity sector experience in communications and experience of supporting strong relationships with partners and funders.
  • You’ll be just as comfortable working independently as you will collaboratively alongside our dedicated teams, using your skills to promote awareness of the amazing work done by Citizens Advice Southampton.
