Job Summary

Own the content and communications engine for a homelessness charity, coordinating storytelling, multi-channel content, and basic web/SEO updates to drive awareness and fundraising.

  • Content creation across newsletters, social, blogs, case studies, and press releases to sustain brand voice and audience engagement.
  • Storytelling support via case studies and impact stories to illustrate outcomes and drive campaign traction.
  • Website updates, on-page SEO basics, and accessibility work to keep information accurate and discoverable.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation
  • Write and produce engaging content for a range of channels, including: newsletters, social media posts, blog articles and case studies, press releases
  • Support storytelling by gathering case studies and impact stories
  • Ensure all content reflects our tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Digital and Website Management: regularly update website content (news, blogs, service pages); work with colleagues to ensure information is accurate and up to date; support basic SEO and accessibility best practices
  • Social Media and Campaigns: assist in planning and scheduling social media content; monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages; support delivery of promotional and fundraising campaigns
  • Design and Creative: create simple designs using Canva; develop clear design briefs for more complex projects and liaise with design agency; ensure visual consistency across all materials
  • Internal and External Communications: support internal communications; assist with external communications, including press releases and direct mailings; help maintain consistency of messaging across the organisation
  • General: comply with Homeless Oxfordshire’s policies and procedures; contribute to a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are valued and staff are enabled to do their best; contribute to the work of the broader team.
