Job Summary

Own the narrative and funnel work for a climate charity, turning strategy into donor growth and public engagement across campaigns, events, and content.

  • Growth and narrative: shape multi-channel storytelling and assets to explain the cause and move donors through the funnel.
  • Channel and operations scope: coordinate in-person/online/hybrid outreach, events, and digital content while balancing long-term strategy with quick wins.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • our in-group and public digital marketing strategies
  • building a narrative / story around our approach
  • optimising the marketing funnel to bring in new donors (open to using other platforms too)
  • various assets like manifestos and pitch decks
  • attracting people to events and workshops
  • article, blog post or social media writing (we need to communicate our existence, our raison d'etre and our approach to the world)
  • input on strategy and planning (we have to balance continuous progress on all fronts while taking advantage of low-hanging fruit)
  • we are just a small charity but we think there is massive scope to shift the narrative on climate change where other organisations have failed.
  • broad help with the marketing and communications across reports, social media, newsletters, and articles, as well as refining our voice and narrative-building

Requirements

  • awareness of the serious nature of the crisis as per the UN IPCC reports (and the contrast to the approach taken by the UK and Net Zero 2050)
  • great desire to see society take a fast, fair and effective rather than expedient approach to climate change and consequent enthusiasm for EcoCounts's approach (see attachment)
  • ability to work in-person, online or hybrid
  • in-depth knowledge in any areas in marketing, communications and campaigning
  • flexibility and desire to turn your hand to any task
  • availability to commit to it long-term
  • likes co-operation, exchange of ideas, flexibility, agility
  • can put their ideas across clearly while seeking first to understand others
  • can average 4 hours a week
  • local to Westminster, Camden, Hackney or Islington
