Own content streams: develop distinctive voice and aligned campaigns across newsletters, website content, whitepapers, and LinkedIn profiles.
Audience- and impact-led: translate market trends and client insights into timely commentary that strengthens reputation and brand positioning.
Collaborative execution: partner with senior leaders, client teams, PR, and social/media units to deliver integrated thought leadership programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Draft long-form, owned thought leadership content for Profile’s executive and corporate clients, particularly across financial services and broader B2B sectors. This will primarily take the form of incisive, opinion-led newsletter content, alongside other owned collateral, including website content, whitepapers, and beyond.
Draft short-form owned thought leadership content for our clients' LinkedIn profiles, curating a monthly content cycle that resonates with each unique key audience, whilst meeting stated corporate objectives.
Independently manage the LinkedIn profiles of our financial services clients, overseeing performance, executing KPIs, and beyond.
Monitor the news cycle, industry trends, and emerging market conversations to identify timely hooks and opportunities for client commentary.
Conduct research across sectors including finance, technology, private markets, regulation, sustainability, and wider business trends to identify the strongest thought-leadership 'hooks'.
Work directly with clients to capture their insights, expertise, and commercial perspectives through interviews, calls, and briefing sessions.
Develop and maintain distinctive tone-of-voice frameworks for individual executives and brands.
Ensure all content is strategically aligned with wider positioning, PR, and audience engagement objectives.
Collaborate closely with Profile’s senior leadership, client management, PR, social media, and multimedia teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
Manage multiple client content streams simultaneously while maintaining consistently high editorial standards.

Requirements

1–3 years of copywriting, editorial, journalism, or thought leadership experience (agency or in-house experience preferred).
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and intellectually credible long-form content.
A strong interest in business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, technology, and the wider B2B landscape.
The ability to quickly understand complex subjects and transform them into compelling narratives for senior business audiences.
Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how thought leadership supports reputation, influence, and brand positioning.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
Confidence interacting directly with senior executives and clients.
A naturally curious, adaptable, and ambitious mindset.
A proactive approach to identifying ideas, trends, and strategic opportunities.
High attention to detail and pride in delivering polished, accurate work.

Nice-to-have

Experience writing B2B or financial services content.
Familiarity with LinkedIn thought leadership and executive profiling.
Understanding of PR and positioning strategy.
Experience working within an agency environment.
