Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the UK marketing strategy and annual marketing plan across all brands and channels.
  • Build the marketing function from scratch: plan the team structure, hire, onboard and develop a high-performing team as the business grows.
  • Set clear KPIs, targets and ways of working for the team, and create a culture of testing, learning and accountability.
  • Own and allocate the total marketing budget, making sure spend is aimed at the highest-return channels.
  • Select and manage external agencies, freelancers and partners where needed.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership, e-commerce, Amazon and product teams to align marketing with commercial goals, product launches and promotions.
  • Report on marketing performance, ROI and growth opportunities to the Managing Director and senior leadership.
  • Lead strategy and performance across Google Ads, Meta and other paid channels.
  • Set budgets, targets and testing plans, and make sure campaigns hit efficiency and growth goals (ROAS, CPA, new customer acquisition).
  • Oversee creative development and testing for paid advertising, working with creators and internal teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience as a Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager or similar, ideally in e-commerce or consumer products selling physical goods.
  • You have a proven track record of building or scaling a marketing team, and you enjoy hiring, developing and leading people.
  • You have broad, hands-on experience across paid media, CRM, SEO, social, influencer, affiliate, PR and e-commerce, and you understand how these channels work together throughout the customer journey.
  • You're strategic but practical: you can set the vision and still roll up your sleeves to deliver it, especially while the team is being built.
  • You've owned marketing budgets and can show how your work has driven measurable commercial results.
  • You're analytical and comfortable with data, attribution and performance reporting, and you make decisions based on what the numbers tell you.
  • You're creative, with a strong eye for content, copy and brand presentation.
  • You're organised and able to manage multiple brands, projects and priorities at once.
  • You're curious and keep up with changes in digital marketing, social platforms, e-commerce, AI and consumer behaviour.
  • Most importantly, you're excited by the chance to build something from the ground up and make a real impact on a growing business.
