Contract Term: Permanent contract, working 28 hours per week.
Salary: £50,000 FTE per annum (£37,837.84 pro rata per annum)

About the role:
ONSIDE is seeking an ambitious and strategic Director of Income Generation to lead our fundraising, income generation, marketing and communications functions. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will develop and deliver a sustainable income generation strategy, diversify funding streams, strengthen our brand and build partnerships that increase our impact across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
This newly created role offers the opportunity to identify new growth opportunities, develop high-value income streams, and drive innovative fundraising and engagement initiatives that support the long-term sustainability of the charity.
Working closely with colleagues, trustees, partners and supporters, you will help ensure more vulnerable children, young people, adults and families can access the services and support they need. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its development.
Key responsibilities:
• Take an innovative approach to income generation through the development of paid-for services.
• Lead the delivery of ONSIDE's business development strategy, including the growth of social enterprises and new business initiatives.
• Develop strategic business and corporate partnerships to generate income through joint working, sponsorship and fundraising.
• Increase membership engagement to raise awareness of the charity and enable local people to influence the organisation's direction.
• Oversee the development of an annual fundraising programme and maintain a pipeline of income generation opportunities.
• Expand income-generating opportunities through MIX Café
• Provide strategic oversight of the marketing and communications function.
• Support the development and delivery of the Marketing and Communications Strategy.
• Work with the Marketing Manager to oversee the development of a new website.
• Collaborate with Heads of Service and Service Delivery Managers to ensure marketing activity supports organisational priorities.
• Income Generation & Fundraising

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader with a track record of growing income and developing successful fundraising strategies. You will be passionate about creating opportunities that enable ONSIDE to support more people and have a greater impact within our communities.
Essential
Qualifications and knowledge
• Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Relevant line management and/or project management qualification.
• Practical understanding of fundraising channels relevant to the role.
• Sound understanding of fundraising regulation, data protection and good data management practices.
Experience
• Driving growth and increasing income from new service development/social enterprise
• Increasing fundraising opportunities, developing new initiatives
• Developing partnerships and sponsorship to increase income generation
• Experience of developing organisational and project budgets.
• Ability to support, motivate and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Experience of strategic leadership, including developing, articulating and delivering fundraising strategies within a complex organisational environment.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships and networks internally and externally.
Skills and approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style for different audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders and partners.
• Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
• Confident decision-maker with sound judgement.
• Strong financial acumen, including project planning and realistic growth/income generation targets, monitoring and reporting.
• Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate fundraising plans and income targets.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
• Qualification in Business Administration, Public Relations, VCSE Management or a related discipline.
• Understanding of charity sector operations and the wider operating environment.
• Understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing charities and voluntary sector organisations.
• Experience of working across fundraising, business development, marketing or communications functions.
