Job Summary

Shape BISC external voice by owning the communications strategy, content engine and media relations while tying outcomes to research impact.

  • Communications Strategy & Brand Toolkit: own the narrative framework and the brand toolkit, ensuring consistency across research, advocacy and convening activities.
  • Content Production & Distribution: curate and create website, social, and media content that translates complex research into accessible stories.
  • Media & Stakeholder Engagement: manage inquiries, nurture UK and Baltic media relationships, and measure impact to guide ongoing strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing a communications strategy to create coherent narratives aligned with BISC’s mission, and to boost the impact of BISC’s research, analysis and expertise;
  • Curating and originating digital content in line with this strategy, for publication on the BISC website and social media channels (X, LinkedIn), or in other media;
  • Working closely with BISC colleagues to showcase their advocacy, research and convening activities;
  • Create visual and numerical content (charts, tables, infographics and maps) to complement BISC’s written work;
  • Manage media enquiries and develop, grow and maintain strong relations with key media in the UK and Baltic countries;
  • Track and evaluate performance by collecting and analyzing media engagement data to improve evolving communications and media strategy for greater impact.
  • Lead on preparing regular BISC newsletters for various audiences using digital tools.
  • Provide staff and BISC’s executive board with regular evaluations of BISC external communications
  • Lead on BISC’s brand communications toolkit and keep it up to date ad expand depending on needs.
  • Produce creative assets and support fundraising and internal communications.
