Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, social-first content (graphics, videos, animations) that brings UKEF’s story and key messages to life for targeted audiences across a range of platforms (YouTube, X, LinkedIn and Instagram).
  • Own end-to-end video production from shooting through to final edit, demonstrating exceptional craft in fast-paced storytelling, visual hooks and native graphics designed to capture attention and drive engagement.
  • Uphold high standards in digital communications and accessibility, ensuring all content is inclusive, accurate, compliant and aligned with best practice.
  • Share emerging social media and digital communications trends, and experiment with implementing these into our content.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of digital communications activity, producing clear insights for social media content to inform senior stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Senior Channel Manager, other UKEF colleagues, government departments and external agencies to support effective collaboration and delivery.
  • Have a proactive and positive attitude with a passion for creating the best possible creative to truly engage audiences.

Requirements

  • Knowledge: A deep understanding of social media video trends and platform-specific content requirements, with the ability to translate trends into actionable content strategies for government communications.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of tailoring digital copy and content for announcements, events, and campaigns.
  • Skills/Ability: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent tools), with experience in video editing, graphic design and animation.
  • Skills/Ability: Proficiency with DSLR and smartphone filming: self-shooting and equipment set-up, including sound and talent direction.
  • Ability to draft written briefs, scripts and engaging on-screen text.
  • Ability to work independently at pace, use initiative, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-turnaround environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience: Experience shooting, editing, and producing multi-format video content for a brand, institution, or government department.
  • Experience: Experience in collaborating with digital creators, influencers, senior stakeholders and the general public.
  • Experience: Experience in developing content that aligns to brand/house styles.
