Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Planning, filming and editing original video content for social media, campaigns and the UEL website.
  • Finding and shaping authentic stories about our students, courses and university life - always clear about the audience, the purpose and the action the story should inspire.
  • Writing clear, engaging copy for social posts, webpages, campaign advertising, case studies and emails.
  • Creating and managing content plans and marketing materials, including prospectuses and printed collateral, from brief through to delivery.
  • Working with student ambassadors, colleagues, agencies and other creatives, and using performance insight to make content even stronger.
  • This is a hands-on role for someone who can take a piece of content from idea to final edit. You'll combine strong videography and editorial instincts with a real understanding of why a story matters, who it is for and how it supports student recruitment. You'll manage several projects at once while keeping every piece of work purposeful, accessible and on brand.

Requirements

  • Have strong, hands-on experience filming and editing video content, with a showreel or examples that demonstrate your creative and technical ability.
  • Are a thoughtful storyteller who starts with the purpose, understands the audience and can turn insight into content that connects and inspires action.
  • Can create compelling content across digital and social channels, with excellent copywriting and editing skills.
  • Understand how to engage young and diverse audiences, adapting stories with care for different cultures, formats and platforms.
  • Are organised, collaborative and confident managing projects, deadlines and stakeholders without losing sight of the creative detail.

Benefits

  • We offer a genuinely competitive salary, dependent on experience (DOE), and a range of excellent benefits.
