Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Advisory Boards & Topic Research: Meet with industry advisory boards and internal teams to gather feedback and insights. Deep-dive into technical topics across MMC, timber, and building tech to extract compelling themes and key industry pain points.
  • Programme Curation & Formatting: Structure and write comprehensive conference agendas. Experiment with engaging formats - from solo keynotes and dynamic panel discussions to interactive workshops - and maintain robust lists of back-up speakers to ensure flawless execution.
  • Speaker Recruitment & Outreach: Actively reach out to C-suite leaders, technical experts, and industry pioneers to invite and secure them as speakers, panellists, and keynote presenters across our events.
  • End-to-End Speaker Management: Manage speaker involvement from pitch to post-event. Send clear briefing materials, collect presentations, coordinate on-site speaker logistics, gather feedback, and introduce key speakers to our internal editorial teams to nurture long-term relationships.
  • Roundtable Participant Recruitment: Identify, invite, and secure high-level delegates and key decision-makers for exclusive, client-hosted roundtable discussions.
  • Awards Panel Recruitment & Management: Recruit and manage prestigious judging panels for our award schemes, steering the evaluation process from start to finish.
  • Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our Event Managers, Marketing, PR, and Publishing divisions to ensure event agendas align with commercial sponsorship packages and drive delegate ticket sales.
  • Reports directly to the Events Director.

Requirements

  • The Track Record: Proven experience in conference production, content curation, or senior speaker recruitment - ideally within B2B events, media, or technical industries.
  • Research & Journalism Instincts: Exceptional research abilities and the confidence to hold intelligent, high-level conversations with senior industry executives and technical leaders.
  • Sweating the Quiet Details: Highly organised with flawless attention to detail. You can juggle multiple event programmes simultaneously inside our project management system without letting a single speaker drop.
  • Solutions-Focused Attitude: When a keynote speaker cancels 24 hours before go-live, you don't panic - you calmly activate your back-up plan and keep the programme running seamlessly.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with MS Office, CRM databases , and project management tools.
  • On the Road: Willingness for occasional overnight stays at key events across the UK and Europe.

  • Milestone Rewards: We value loyalty. Celebrate your 5-year anniversary with a voucher of your choice.
