Job Description
MILLTOWN PARTNERS AI STUDIO
Our clients operate at the frontiers of innovation - we advise technology companies driving change, global investors funding the future, the giants of sport and entertainment, and influential individuals on the communications and policy challenges that define their reputations. Our work spans corporate and financial communications, policy and public affairs to engage regulators and policymakers, policy communications and leadership communications. We underpin the full breadth of our capabilities with research-driven insights and campaigns. We're also pioneering AI-enhanced advisory work for both our clients and internal innovation, using technology to unlock insights from data at unprecedented scale and speed.
The work of Milltown Partners’ AI Studio encompasses both client-facing project delivery and the development of internal tools and capabilities. The team currently relies on a mix of generalists who split their time across AI Studio, communications, policy and research work, alongside a small number of dedicated specialists. Demand is growing quickly among clients, who increasingly want us to build bespoke AI-powered tools and workflows for them, alongside our traditional advisory work.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a communications or policy AI solutions consultant to join AI Studio. You'll be embedded in client teams, working to deliver client-facing projects across comms, policy and research. This gives you the chance to own client work end to end: thinking creatively about what a client is trying to achieve and identifying the best route to get there. You’ll also be helping build new internal products that improve the quality and efficiency of the consulting team.
IS THIS YOU?
You have strong quantitative research skills and are comfortable writing code and reviewing vibe-coded work. You’ve worked in tools like VS Code and GitHub. You pick up new technical frameworks quickly, and you're at your best when you can take an ambiguous brief, define it tightly, and build something structured that genuinely meets the client's need. You bring rigour to complex, multi-stage projects, and you're just as comfortable building a technical solution as you are explaining it to a client who isn't technical.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
-
Scope and structure ambiguous briefs. You'll take a client's AI Studio brief - often unclear at the outset - and define it tightly, mapping out a technical approach and a clear picture of what success looks like.
-
Build in the technical stack. You'll work hands-on in our technical stack - tools like VS Code, GitHub, n8n and Supabase - to deliver client projects and prototypes.
-
Develop internal AI Studio products. You'll contribute to new internal tools and capabilities, such as our podcast and newsletter tools, working alongside Flo and the wider AI Studio team.
-
Lead client accounts independently. You'll own AI Studio client relationships end to end, translating technical work into outcomes clients value and trust.
-
Flex across the wider practice. You'll pick up communications, policy or research work when needed, bringing the same rigour and structure to briefs outside AI Studio.
-
Build a collaborative environment. You'll give and receive feedback regularly, share technical knowledge with colleagues who are less comfortable in the stack, and contribute to an inclusive team culture.
-
Two to six years' experience in a quantitative or analytical capacity in an advisory or service-provider context.
-
Comfortable working in tools such as VS Code and GitHub, and confident picking up new technical frameworks quickly.
-
A methodical approach to scoping ambiguous briefs and delivering structured, well-defined outputs.
-
A track record of bringing rigour to complex, multi-stage projects.
-
At least a working understanding of reputation management, communications or public policy, and the ability to operate credibly with non-technical colleagues and clients.
-
Experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) effectively and critically in a professional setting.
-
Collaborative instincts and a genuine commitment to contributing to an inclusive culture.
-
Experience working directly with technology sector clients.
-
Experience contributing to the development of internal tools or products, not just client delivery.

-

-
Private healthcare and dedicated mental health support
-
26 days' holiday plus public holidays (outside of our annual Christmas break)
