Job Summary

Lead and coordinate insight-driven promotional campaigns while managing media relations and internal comms to advance council objectives.

  • Own campaigns and messaging across PR, focusing on delivering against business objectives
  • Manage media desk activity and nurture relationships with local and national press
  • Write press releases, statements, and media content with a strong newsroom sensibility

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering insight-based, creative promotional communication and marketing campaigns, that deliver against our business objectives.
  • Work on the Council’s busy media desk, liaising and working closely with local and national press.
  • Good PR skills, a strong news sense, and experience of writing news articles, press releases, statements and other media content is essential, as well as experience of working with and managing media relations.
  • An interest, and experience, in filming and editing short form video is useful.
  • Work across our internal communications channels to keep our colleagues up to date.
