Job Summary

Own end-to-end alumni communications and publications, balancing long running print pieces with digital content while coordinating with Development and Communications leaders to strengthen global alumni relationships.

  • Own production calendars for Annual Report, Magazine and Calendar, e newsletters and digital content.
  • Shape storytelling across alumni, donors, and wider audiences using video, photography, and writing.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and mentors to grow skills in live-streaming, strategic communications and audience diversification.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You will help us keep in touch with over 7,000 alumni worldwide, producing high-quality publications, digital content and visual materials that maintain and strengthen relationships across generations and continents.
  • Reporting to the Development Director, with a secondary reporting line to the Head of Communications, you will be responsible for the production of Selwyn's annual publications (Annual Report, Magazine and Calendar), e-newsletters, marketing materials and digital content for the College's alumni, donors and wider audiences.
  • This is a genuine opportunity to grow your skillset, from video production and live-streaming to strategic communications and writing for diverse audiences, with mentoring from an experienced Development Director and Head of Communications.
  • We’re looking for someone who has a love of language, is visually creative with an excellent eye for photography, and can manage multiple projects across different timeframes and stakeholders.

The college was founded by the Selwyn Memorial Committee in memory of George Augustus Selwyn (1809–1878), the first Bishop of New Zealand (1841–1868), and subsequently Bishop of Lichfield (1868–1878).
