Job Summary

Own the AFSEE communications engine, shaping how the fellowship is seen and heard across website, social, newsletters, and events to drive measurable outreach impact.

  • Communications Ownership: Own day-to-day AFSEE communications and drive outreach impact across online and print channels.
  • Channel & Asset Delivery: Plan and publish website content, social posts, newsletters and marketing materials, then monitor outreach success.
  • Event & Editorial Execution: Organise in-person, online, and hybrid events and manage editorial workflows.

Job Description

  • The AFSEE Communications and Marketing Officer will have responsibility for all the day-to-day AFSEE related internal and external communications and will lead on the delivery of communications and marketing strategies and activities to promote the AFSEE Fellowship programme.
  • The post holder will manage AFSEE’s key communication channels (including website, social media profiles, newsletter, and blog); plan and produce online and print publications and marketing materials; and action/track/monitor/evaluate the success of the programme’s outreach and impact.
  • Experience of working in a communications and marketing role, preferably in a service environment
  • Experience of acting in an editorial role, commissioning, proofing and copy-editing content written by others
  • Experience of /managing/running social media channels (e.g. X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube) to effectively engage audiences
  • Experience of organising in-person, online, and hybrid events
  • A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative in problem- solving and dealing effectively with urgent organisational or communications issues

  • Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance
