Translate strategy into clear messaging for executives and diverse stakeholders
Collaborate across Communications and External Affairs to align on messaging and stakeholder engagement

Job Description

Shape the communications that inform, engage and protect our network
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping translate strategy into clear, compelling communications while protecting and strengthening Cadent’s reputation
Deliver proactive media relations, impactful internal communications and confident incident response
Lead communications planning, provide expert advice on complex and sensitive issues, and ensure messaging is consistent, engaging and aligned to Cadent’s values and priorities
Respond to reactive situations, including attending site when needed
Take part in a 1-in-4 standby rota, providing on-call media support across all Cadent networks
Manage media enquiries and liaise with local authorities
Communicate the impact of Cadent’s work, from major infrastructure projects to innovations shaping the future of the network
Collaborate with network leadership and colleagues across Communications and External Affairs
