Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As the Brand Proposition Executive at Sainsbury's, you will be at the forefront of developing and driving the brand plans for Sainsbury's and Tu, creating distinctive, bold, and differentiating propositions that elevate our brands and ensure their successful performance.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders across both Sainsbury’s and Tu, you will collaborate on strategic questions, gain alignment on brand plans, and leverage insights to inform customer plans and proposition development.
  • Your role will involve crafting customer-led propositions that work across both food and clothing missions, align with commercial objectives, and spark creativity within our brand communication and channel teams, utilising real-time insights to anticipate risks and optimise market opportunities.
  • Through your brand strategy expertise and passion for our brands, you will play a crucial role in shaping annual and quarterly customer plans, reflecting brand priorities, and influencing channel plans to drive the success of our brands.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and executing brand strategies or propositions, evidenced by ownership of brand plans, propositions, or campaigns from development through delivery.
  • Ability to use customer insight and data to inform brand or proposition decisions, demonstrated through examples of insight-led planning, risk anticipation, or opportunity optimisation.
  • Proven capability to align brand activity to commercial objectives, balancing customer needs with business and commercial drivers.
  • Strong experience influencing and delivering through cross‑functional stakeholders, evidenced by gaining alignment and executing brand plans across multiple teams and delivering engaging inspiring briefs
  • Experience contributing to annual or quarterly brand or customer plans, including shaping priorities and influencing channel or communication plans
  • Confident presenter to stakeholders of varying levels of seniority and strong stakeholder management and effective communication style
  • Ability to deal with challenge and remain calm with conflict, coming to a good resolution for customers and the business
  • Strong team player who adds value in the role and to the wider team
