Job Summary

Own and grow brand partnerships, manage the P&L and budget, lead negotiations, develop and execute the annual brand plan, and drive portfolio strategy and launches with cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop relationships with brand owners
  • Deliver the budgeted brand P&L as per KPIs (internal and external) and own and manage the Consumer Investment brand budget
  • Lead brand contract renewal negotiations to create long-term sustainable partnerships
  • Develop and execute the annual retail brand plan which includes range management: core range, product lifecycle, delist/exit, SLOB, NPD pipeline: Business case and launch plan
  • Shape the future direction of the brands you manage through strategic thinking and commercial insight
  • Build and manage product portfolios, including core range management, innovation pipelines and product lifecycle planning
  • Identify opportunities for growth through category, shopper and consumer insights
  • Partner with internal teams to successfully deliver new product launches and strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrate a consultative selling approach through knowledge of category, shopper and consumer utilising the communication skills training provided.
  • Contribute to the wider development of brand strategy and business growth plans

Requirements

  • Have strong commercial instincts and enjoy making decisions that drive growth
  • Think strategically whilst remaining focused on delivery
  • Build trusted relationships quickly and influence effectively at all levels
  • Are highly resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy analysing data, identifying opportunities and turning insight into action
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery
  • Can navigate ambiguity and solve problems with confidence
  • Naturally bring people together to achieve shared goals

Preferred

  • Experience in buying, sales, customer category management or managing commercial portfolios would be beneficial.
  • FMCG experience is not essential, and candidates from other sectors are encouraged to apply.
