Lead and own strategic publicity campaigns for a diverse catalogue, shaping media coverage, author events and festival presences while managing budgets and logistics.

  • Build and maintain media and industry relationships to secure coverage and opportunities
  • Plan, coordinate and attend author events, launches, tours and festivals across channels
  • Manage budgets and calendars to deliver multiple campaigns simultaneously

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate publicity campaigns across a range of adult publishing titles, securing media coverage and opportunities to raise author profiles.
  • Write engaging copy for press releases, festival pitches and other publicity materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, librarians, festival programmers and other key contacts.
  • Manage campaign budgets, organising and attending festivals, conferences, author tours and promotional events.

Requirements

  • A driven, ambitious and highly organised Publicity Manager with a genuine passion for books and publishing.
  • A proven track record of leading and delivering inventive, strategic publicity campaigns across traditional, digital and social media, with proven success in organising author events, book launches and tours, both large and small.
  • Established network of media and event contacts, able to hit the ground running in a vibrant department.
  • Creative, proactive and motivated, with exemplary organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, from debut authors to established brands.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with authors, agents, journalists and colleagues, exercise sound judgement, communicate with confidence, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
