Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Client & Business Development Director, the practice managers, and the barrister heads of our Practice Teams, to plan and deliver a Chambers marketing plan and associated activity.
  • Managing and co-ordinating our submissions to the legal directories and industry awards.
  • Planning, promoting and attending Chambers seminars and client events.
  • Managing website updates and other digital channels, including reporting on engagement and analytics.
  • Supporting barristers with effective personal marketing, including website profiles, event follow-up and client-facing materials.
  • Maintaining and improving client mailing lists and ensuring communications are targeted, accurate, and GDPR-compliant.
  • Supporting internal communications so members and staff know about relevant marketing activity, opportunities, and deadlines.
  • Undertaking competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities for Chambers and its members.
  • Liaising with external suppliers for design, digital, and event support.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will likely have more than 5 years’ experience gained in marketing within a legal services or other professional services environment.
  • An ability to build trust quickly with stakeholders who have high standards.
  • An ability to get on with things without close supervision, self-direct and take ownership of day-to-day activity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for producing clear, accurate, and professional copy.
  • Strong project and events management skills and an ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms including websites, e-mail marketing, social media, and analytics.
  • Sound judgement, including knowing when to act independently and when to seek guidance.
  • A strong service ethic and an understanding of what good internal and external client service looks like in a professional services environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a good eye for design, presentation, and brand consistency.
  • Confidence and interpersonal skills to build trust quickly with stakeholders who have high standards.

Preferred

  • A relevant degree, CIM qualification, or equivalent professional experience would be desirable.

Benefits

  • Salary will be dependent on experience, c. £60,000.
  • Working hours 9am – 6pm (with some flexibility required to manage events).
  • Office based.
