Own media relations and multi-channel content strategy for REA, translating policy into clear member-facing messaging and supporting events and campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for journalists and media enquiries, building relationships with trade and national press to secure coverage and position REA spokespeople as authoritative voices for the sector.
  • Write and edit compelling copy across press releases, member communications, website content, newsletters and social media, ensuring REA's tone and key messages are applied consistently.
  • Translate policy and technical developments into clear, engaging messaging for members, policy groups and internal teams.
  • Support the planning, promotion and on-the-day delivery of REA's industry events and conferences, including speaker and delegate communications and post-event coverage.
  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, including email marketing and membership promotion.
  • Manage REA's presence across digital channels and social media, producing engaging content — including graphics, and audio/video where appropriate — and report monthly on performance.
  • Monitor media coverage, industry sentiment and campaign performance, using insight to refine messaging.

Requirements

  • Strong writing, research and organisational skills, with a can-do, proactive approach.
  • Experience creating content across multiple channels; press, web, email and social media and an understanding of how approach differs across them.
  • A confident, flexible team player able to build positive relationships with members, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A genuine interest in net zero, the environment and the renewable and clean technology sector is essential.
