Job Description

Responsibilities

  • This is a full-time Marketing Analyst role based in Manchester with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a flexible mix of on-site and work-from-home days.
  • The Marketing Analyst will collect, organise, and interpret marketing and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
  • Responsibilities include building dashboards and reports, tracking campaign performance across digital channels, and providing data-driven recommendations to optimise marketing spend and strategy.
  • The role involves collaborating closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to support go-to-market initiatives and improve lead generation and conversion.
  • The Marketing Analyst will also support forecasting, segmentation, and experimentation — ensuring insights are communicated clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The Marketing Analyst will regularly work on campaign landing pages, implement tracking solutions, and collaborate directly with the web development team — making HTML, CSS, and JavaScript proficiency essential, not optional.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills including hands-on experience with analytics tools and data interpretation across SEO, paid media, and social channels.
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders across marketing, sales, and leadership.
  • Understanding of sales processes and revenue drivers, with the ability to align marketing insights to commercial goals and pipeline performance.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and data visualisation tools — Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, or Power BI — and solid working knowledge of web and campaign analytics platforms including Google Analytics (GA4), CRM, and marketing automation tools.
  • Practical web development skills are a mandatory requirement — candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with the ability to build, edit, and optimise landing pages and implement tracking scripts independently.
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS platforms for managing and publishing web content.
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager for tracking implementation, pixel setup, and conversion measurement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, IT, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in a tech or digital-focused organisation is beneficial, as is exposure to A/B testing, attribution models, and customer segmentation.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy regulations as they apply to digital marketing is a plus.

Preferred

  • Exposure to A/B testing, attribution models, and customer segmentation.
