Job Summary

Own the social storytelling engine for a modern media brand, turning editorial direction into platform-native narratives that entertain, inform, and drive business results across social channels.

  • Platform-native storytelling: translate editorial vision into distinctive social identities and recurring content franchises that build long-term audience loyalty.
  • Editorial + commercial integration: balance creative integrity with performance, turning data and insights into strategies that move both brand perception and growth metrics.
  • Collaborative production: lead end-to-end social planning, publishing, and sign-off, partnering with Creative Studio and community teams to spark engaging, culturally relevant content.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social Strategy & Editorial Amplification: Champion and amplify Beauty Pie's editorial direction across all major platforms - Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and emerging channels - ensuring the brand's point of view lands with clarity and cultural credibility
  • Translate the brand’s editorial vision into a distinctive, platform-native social identity: one that feels more like a media brand than a beauty brand
  • Develop recurring content franchises, storytelling formats and editorial systems designed to build habitual engagement and long-term audience loyalty
  • Think like an editor and a commercial strategist simultaneously - ensuring every content decision pulls weight against both brand-building and business objectives
  • Own social planning, programming, publishing and performance analysis across channels
  • Lead the social sign-off process from concept through to execution, maintaining the integrity of the editorial direction at every stage
  • Creative Development & Content: Conceptualise and oversee social-first content that challenges category conventions - no gratuitous flat-lays, no aspirational voids, no content that looks like every other beauty brand on your feed
  • Develop platform-native ideas across short-form video, editorial storytelling, founder content, behind-the-scenes formats, reactive content and cultural commentary - the full toolkit of a modern media company
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Studio to brief, shape and refine social content from idea through to delivery, always in service of the wider editorial direction
  • Translate brand campaigns and product launches into compelling social narratives - not campaign adaptations, but stories that earn attention in their own right

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading social storytelling, editorial content or social creative strategy - ideally within a brand, publisher, media company or culturally relevant startup that thinks beyond category norms
  • A genuine media brand mentality: you understand that great social content earns attention the same way great editorial does - through relevance, originality and point of view
  • Deep fluency in social platforms, formats, creator culture and audience behaviours
  • Exceptional editorial instincts and storytelling ability, particularly within visual and short-form video environments
  • Proven ability to amplify a brand's existing creative direction, not just generate ideas in isolation - you know how to serve a vision while elevating it
  • The commercial instinct to ensure creative work drives real business outcomes - you speak the language of brand and the language of growth
  • Experience briefing, scripting, storyboarding and overseeing social-first video production
  • Confidence using performance insights and analytics to inform creative decisions and make the case for strategic pivots
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly collaborative, ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset

Benefits

  • Hybrid working with 3 days in the office in central London
  • Free membership to Beauty Pie+ and additional percentage off our products
  • Pieshares - all employees receive stock options
  • 25 days holiday & your birthday off
  • Flexible bank holidays
  • Equal leave for all new parents regardless of gender or personal circumstances
