Responsibilities overview for an SEO lead in the UK market, focusing on strategy, technical leadership, content-driven growth, performance analysis, and team mentorship.

  • SEO strategy development: Collaborate with the head of digital marketing & head of SEO to devise and implement SEO strategies that align with client goals and drive measurable growth.
  • Technical SEO leadership: Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure best practices are followed across all client websites.
  • Keyword & content strategy: Perform advanced keyword research and trend analysis, providing recommendations that inform content strategies and maximise search engine visibility.
  • Performance analysis & optimisation: Analyse SEO performance data using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other industry-standard software. Provide strategic insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Client & stakeholder management: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, presenting SEO findings, strategies, and reports in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Mentorship & team leadership: Guide and support SEO executives, sharing knowledge, reviewing their work, and helping them develop their skills.
  • Trend monitoring & algorithm Updates: Stay informed on Google algorithm updates and SEO industry trends, adjusting strategies as necessary to maintain and enhance client rankings.
