  • Compliance and analytics: Ensure GDPR-aligned practices while translating campaign data into practical improvements.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Data Hygiene: Audit, clean, and deduplicate contact lists to ensure accuracy and usability.
  • Compliance & Opt-Outs: Manage opt-outs, unsubscribes, and bounce handling per best practices.
  • Segmentation: Segment the database by behavior, preferences, or demographics to enable targeted campaigns.
  • List Readiness: Build a structured, well-maintained list ready for active use.
  • Campaign Ops: Schedule, test, and deploy email campaigns via Mailchimp.
  • Performance Insight: Monitor metrics (open rates, click-throughs, conversions) and share actionable insights with the team.
  • Governance: Advise on GDPR compliance and data protection practices in marketing.
  • Ongoing Support: Initial project with potential for quarterly campaign and reporting support.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in email marketing database management, ideally in a CRM or marketing operations context.
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly with a small, non-technical team.
  • Proven experience managing, cleaning and maintaining marketing databases.
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp or a similar email marketing platform.
  • Understanding of list segmentation principles.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and email marketing compliance requirements.
  • An analytical mindset, comfortable interpreting campaign data and drawing practical conclusions.
  • Attention to detail and a systematic approach to data quality.
