Job Summary

Own the end-to-end consumer content stream for home-moving topics, balancing speed, accuracy and SEO impact with plain-English guidance.

  • Content production and optimization: draft, publish, and refresh guides across conveyancing, surveying, removals and related topics; align with SEO briefs.
  • Quality control: verify facts with primary sources, edit AI drafts, and ensure readability and accuracy for readers making big financial decisions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Draft and publish multiple blog posts and guides per week across conveyancing, surveying, removals and the wider home-moving journey.
  • Use proprietary and third-party AI tools to assist with drafting, research and ideation while applying human judgement, editing and fact-checking so nothing is published unverified.
  • Proofread every piece to a high standard: grammar, spelling, tone and readability.
  • Check sources and confirm truth: verify facts, figures, fees and legal details against reliable primary sources before publishing, and edit documents for accuracy.
  • Follow SEO best practices in every article: keyword research and targeting, search intent, on-page optimisation (titles, metas, headings), internal linking and structured content.
  • Use SEO tools daily (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics) to find keyword opportunities, brief articles and measure what's working.
  • Work as part of the SEO team: pick up briefs, contribute to the content calendar, and prioritise articles that drive organic traffic and quote requests.
  • Refresh and optimise existing guides to keep them accurate, current and ranking.
  • Write in the IPlace Global voice - friendly, plain-English, no jargon, no waffle.
  • Adapt blog content into newsletters, emails, social posts and landing page copy where needed.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years' experience writing blog or editorial content professionally, ideally for a consumer brand, comparison site or property/finance business.
  • A prolific writer: comfortable producing many polished, well-researched articles a week.
  • Experience using AI writing tools productively, and the editorial judgement to know their limits, spot errors and hallucinations, and rewrite in a human voice.
  • Meticulous proofreader and editor with a fact-checking mindset, able to verify claims against credible sources; our readers make big financial decisions off the back of our content.
  • Strong grasp of SEO best practices — keyword research, search intent, on-page optimisation, internal linking.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush and Google Search Console.
  • Ability to make complex topics (legal fees, surveys, moving costs) simple and readable.
  • Experience with a CMS, editor, WordPress, etc.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of the UK property, conveyancing or home-moving market.
  • Experience writing for comparison or lead-generation sites.
  • Basic image editing or familiarity with design tools like Canva.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary.
  • A small, friendly team where your writing is front and centre not buried in approval chains.
  • Central London office (5 days per week in office).
  • Growth path into senior marketing roles.
