Little Village

Little Village makes a big difference to families with babies and young children living in poverty across London. Via our network of a baby banks, we pass on great quality loved baby goods from one family to another: clothes, shoes and coats so that children are clean and dry; toys and books to support play and development; beds for a safe and cosy night’s sleep. Families either visit a Little Village hub in Camden, Tooting or Brent, or items are packed with care and delivered to their home. But it doesn’t stop there. We also connect families into a wider network of support, helping them to build and extend their own ‘village’.Thanks to the generous donations of loved items, precious time and money, in 2023 Little Village was able to support more than 8,500 children. But the demand for help still outstripped our capacity to respond week on week. Essentials are becoming unaffordable for more and more families with babies and young children, and many are facing complete destitution.Your support will mean that Little Village can help families directly with a bundle of essentials packed for their individual children’s needs: from newborn to weaning and toddling, to play and pre-school.If you’re a business and share our dream that no child in the capital grows up without essential items for daily life and would like to discuss donating some of your products or profit share to our work, please contact us at fundraising@littlevillagehq.org.
