Job Summary

Own strategic fundraising and comms growth with a track record of multi-six-figure income, leading integrated plans across fundraising, marketing and communications.

  • Strategic Growth: Build and execute integrated fundraising and comms strategies that deliver measurable income impact.
  • Leadership & Delivery: Lead a senior team, own budgets and ROI, and drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partnership & Sector Reach: Develop corporate partnerships and align comms to Welsh Third Sector realities and cancer-service funding.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Proven Growth: You’ll lead the development of integrated fundraising and comms strategies that deliver measurable, sustainable growth with a track record in corporate or high-value fundraising.
  • Empowering & Senior Leadership: You’ll manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and clear accountability, with budgets, forecasts, and ROI ownership.
  • Corporate Powerhouse & Integrated Strategy: You’ll build and convert a high-quality pipeline of corporate partnerships capable of generating five and six-figure streams in complex environments.
  • Brand Amplification & Sector Experience: You’ll ensure marketing and communications are aligned to support income generation and extend reach in Welsh communities, with understanding of the Third Sector and Welsh cancer-service funding landscape.
  • Performance, Insight & Team Development: You’ll use data and market intelligence to drive ROI, manage robust forecasts, and report to the Director of Income Generation, Marketing & Communications while nurturing an agile, values-driven team.

Requirements

  • Proven Track Record: You’ve delivered significant income growth, specifically within corporate or high-value fundraising environments.
  • Senior Gravitas & Influencing Power: You’ve experience operating at a senior level with full accountability for financial performance and budgets.
  • Commercial Sharpness: You can spot opportunities, build the case, and close deals with pace, converting income opportunities quickly.
  • Strategic Integration & Data-Driven: You’re experienced leading multi-disciplinary teams across fundraising, marketing, and communications and proficient in using insight and data to drive decision-making.
  • Welsh Context: A gained understanding of the Welsh political landscape and how cancer services are funded and delivered in Wales.
  • Communication & Values: You’re a confident, engaging communicator for diverse audiences and model the organisation’s values in behavior.

Preferred

  • deep understanding of the Third Sector and the Welsh political landscape (preferred)
  • experience in leading combined fundraising, marketing, and communications functions within complex environments (preferred)
